BCPNP Entrepreneur Immigration
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Entrepreneur Immigration (EI) is designed for international entrepreneurs who wish to immigrate to British Columbia (BC) and establish businesses that support innovation and economic growth. This is a “temporary to permanent” pathway – successful applicants initially come to BC as temporary residents and later apply for permanent residence after establishing their business.
Eligible Applicants
Application Requirements
- Minimum $600,000 CAD in personal net worth
- Business and/or management experience (or a 2-year post-secondary diploma if no business experience)
- Basic English/French proficiency (CLB 4 or higher)
- Legal status in current country of residence
- Eligible for legal immigration status in Canada
Business, Work & Investment Requirements
- Establish a new qualifying business or purchase and improve an existing business
- Minimum $200,000 CAD personal investment in the business
- Create at least 1 new full-time job for a Canadian citizen/permanent resident

BCPNP Entrepreneur Immigration – Regional Pilot
The BC PNP is a fast-track immigration pathway established through an agreement between the BC government and the Canadian federal government. It allows BC to select immigrants based on economic needs, targeting individuals who can contribute to the province’s growth. Approved applicants must invest $300,000+ CAD in a registered BC community, start and manage a new business, and create local employment.

This stream is designed for entrepreneurs who can support BC’s innovation and economic growth. Applicants must have entrepreneurial experience, meet specific investment criteria, and actively operate a business in BC. By fulfilling these requirements and obtaining provincial nomination, they can achieve their goal of immigrating to Canada.
